Having been raised in a society surrounded by art, I began seeking the knowledge and abilities to become part of that world, to become an artist. I keep trying to refine my work in any possible way, aiming for the day when it will be appreciated by people who share the same passion as me.

I have now found my path. I was drawn to creating art using technology as a medium. My computer replaced my pencil. Therefore, I am planning on earning a Major in Design. I have developed a working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator and I also plan, with my drawing capacities, on going towards a conceptual and surreal approach to making art and designs.

Throughout my collegial stay, I had the chance to encounter many wonderful teachers that helped me on my path as well as the chance to experience a wide variety of mediums that took my art to the next level.

One of the mediums I explored was the art of silkscreen-printing when I became one of the founders of the College's very own art club. This club followed a specific theme which consisted in fusing art, music and fashion and resulted in a very successful exposition at the school and, later on, a sale. Thus, this experience gave me a taste of what to expect when displaying work for the public to see. Furthermore, I also got the chance to be commissioned by the school's Women Studies Department to prepare a poster commemorating the tragic events that took place in 1989 at the Polytechnic School of Montreal.

My major influences originate from many different sources with the majority coming from artists from my home country, Haiti. I have developed a liking to a commonly used style in that country called “L'école de la beauté” which is similar to the surreal movement. Albert Desmangles, one of my favorite painters follows that movement and, in time, I will explore it using my computer as my canvas.

My other influences come from my parents who were both artists at one point of their life and they keep guiding and supporting me in my quest for success and I know for certain that one day I will take part of the artistic community.
